Joe Martinez - Director

 

Joe Calvo Martinez trained as a hairdresser in the late 80’s. During his apprenticeship Joe worked in the West End of London and attended The London School of Hair & Fashion. Once qualified Joe went on to study Management & International Business at The University of London achieving two degrees’; Bachelors of Arts and Master of Science.

 

In the mid-nineties Joe left the Hair & Beauty industry and worked in Project Management; however the move did not last long and Joe was back working with Toni & Guy in Southern Europe. Joe then moved onto TIGI International and worked for over ten years - eventually managing the European Distributor business. During this time the business grew exponentially and he gained huge experience in the development and growth of Haircare brands in Europe.

 

December 2009 Joe left TIGI and began working for Framesi. During his time with Framesi Joe was responsible for Distributor business in Asia; successfully acquiring distributors in China & India. Further successes were the introduction of Framesi in the UK and agreeing distribution rights of Framesi with one the largest distributors in Scandinavia.

 

In 2012 Joe decided to work independently and focus on developing Maverick Hair & Beauty.
